Wow, gorgeous! I'm weird with moths, I mean they are beautiful, but scary at the same time.

When I was a little girl, I captured a similar looking wormy creature and stuck it in an old fishbowl with a stick. It made a cocoon and sat for a long, long, long time. I suppose a child measures time differently, but it seemed like forever. Then one day it emerged, and was a beautiful moth, similar to yours. I'll never forget it :) Yours looks HUGE, and it's a brave child in the top picture. Lovely.

Hello, we haven't been introduced. I came across you work via a Halloween website slash blog named Pumpkinrot.com. I think we share some common aesthetics, though mine remain somewhat unfound or maybe snagged inside a void, whereas yours flows graciously.

Moths are (to me) conspicuous and timeless creatures. Once rearing up a few tent caterpillars, expecting nothing amazing, I was stunned at what emerged. Here in this glass cookie jar were small wooly mammoths coated in velvet. Their eyes iridescent and crowned by ferns. I cannot describe them without sounding pretentious. Ambassadors to the forest.
